MSME Boot Camp 2023

Kalye Negosyo, a program that links LGUs, aspiring entrepreneurs, mentors and trainees together. It’s also a program that provides free seminars and programs to help keep the trainees updated with the latest business trends, and helps them put up and expand their businesses by allowing them to come up with new products and services than implementing the traditional concepts in business.

This 4-5 May 2023, from 8:00AM-5:00PM, Kalye Negosyo, in cooperation with DDB Group Philippines and Tribal worldwide, and in partnership with University of the Philippines Los Baños and former provincial Director Clark, proudly present PACKMEN, a packaging mentoring program aimed at helping homegrown businesses expand and scale their operations amidst tough competition, particularly post-lockdown.

DTI-registered MSMEs are the target participants for this event; this can encourage them to think creatively and innovatively as entrepreneurs to differentiate themselves from competition. This can also ensure familiarity with the basics of marketing their own brands and for them to be educated on the basics of branding, logo design and design trends. And one of the important objectives of this event is for aspiring entrepreneurs to create a logo or redesign an existing logos with its applications to materials for the participants.

Jorge and Jenny Wieneke, one of the hosts on The New Channel, are the leads in the said training. The Head of Business Affairs Office/Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Jenny Wieneke, welcomes the attendees in the first day, and Jorge Wieneke, who is also a mentor in Kalye Negosyo, also have his lecture about entrepreneurial and marketing mindset.

As the pandemic is slowly ending, competition is getting tough since many entrepreneurs emerged. This boot camp gives opportunity to the local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) to learn how to differentiate their own brands through creativity and innovation and helps them understand the concept of marketing, promotions, and brandings.
