Manila, Philippines – In line with International Women’s Month, The New Channel and Global Women Who RULE profiles support Stop And Salute, a flag-raising ceremony held on 4 March 2024 at the Independence Flagpole in Rizal Park Luneta.
The flag-raising ceremony occurs every first Monday of the month and it is organized by the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in collaboration with Pronove Tai, an international property consultancy firm, and supporters of the Salute To A Clean Flag (STACF) movement.
This month’s honorees are the first all-women team in the world to reach the summit of Mt. Everest – who also served as Coast Guard team members: CG LCDR CARINA G DAYONDON, CG PO1 Noelle Cristina W Penetrante, and Ms. Janet Belarmino. Mabuhay ang mga kababaihan!
Check out what happened in this historical event through these snaps. And let this event be a reminder that as Filipinos, let it be a norm to always stop and salute to our Philippine Flag!
