Manila, Philippines – In celebration of International Women’s Day, Media Convergence, Global Impact Productions, together with their advocacy partners – the Department of Education via the International Cooperation Office, the Department of Information Communications and Technology through the ICT Industry Development Bureau, and the United Nations Association of the Philippines, hosted an exclusive screening by invitation to a special screening of the advocacy film “When the World Met Miss Probinsyana” held on 6 March 2024 at the Metropolitan Theater, Manila.
This event also marked the launch of “U for WE” (Unite for Women Empowerment through Education and Technology) campaign which attended by the lead characters of the movie, Rhian Ramos and Sid Lucero.
The U for WE campaign is a dynamic initiative committed to empowering women through education and technology. By dismantling barriers to education, closing the digital gap, nurturing supportive communities, and championing gender equality, U for WE strives to ignite positive transformations in the lives of women nationwide.
