Best Buddies Philippines held its Pre-Employment Program (PEP) Pinning Ceremony at Asurion, Accralaw Tower, to celebrate the hard work and achievements of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who successfully completed the program, preparing them for meaningful employment opportunities.
Attended by graduates, their families, program facilitators, and supportive members of the community, the ceremony began with an introduction and opening message from Nina Lewis, Director of Public Engagement at the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, followed by company sharing of the representatives from Asurion, Southstar Drug, The Ascott Limited Philippines, JPMorgan Chase & Co, and Nexus Technologies Inc., and PEP sharing of PEP graduates, as well as remarks from Michelle Aventajado, Executive Director of Best Buddies Philippines.
The highlight of this event is the pinning ceremony, where each PEP awardees were called on stage and presented with certificates. The event concluded with a heartwarming celebration, filled with applause, cheers, and a renewed commitment to creating opportunities for everyone, regardless of their abilities.
