Quezon City, Philippines – On June 26, 2024, JCI Manila successfully carried out its priority project, “Beyond Prison Walls” at the Molave Youth Home in Payatas, Quezon City.
This initiative, which is a part of JCI Philippines’ commitment to promoting total human development within the correctional community, focused on balanced and restorative justice principles.
The event was designed to provide a comprehensive day of support and empowerment for children in conflict with the law. Highlights of the day included medical assistance, livelihood workshops, and entertainment activities aimed at uplifting the spirits of the youth and equipping them with valuable skills.
In addition to the services provided, JCI Manila donated essential items to the Molave Youth Home, including printers, laundry wash necessities, and drinking water dispensers among others. These contributions are expected to significantly improve the daily lives of the youth residing in the facility.
JCI Manila’s “Beyond Prison Walls” project underscores the organization’s dedication to making a positive impact in the community, fostering hope, and aiding in the rehabilitation and reintegration of young individuals.
