TNC at PANATA Brand Effectiveness Awards 2024 Media Launch

Advertisers group marks 15 years of PANAta awards

Known to its industry as the clients, the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) holds many trademark events every year. Its PANAta awards reaches a milestone in 2024 as its 15th staging. What started as a values-centric award evolved in 2014 as an effectiveness-based award.

PANAta Awards—the ta means Truth in Advertising—continues to inspire brands to enter their best works lifting the PANAta as a relevant competition for the best use of strategy leading to effectiveness. This move is pivotal, emphasizing the role of measurable impact and return on investment as a new standard of excellence for the industry.

As the PANAta Awards continues to grow, so does it adapt to the changing landscape of advertising. As is the law of survival and transformation, embracing new technologies and trends while staying true to core values is imperative.

Says, Rey Marc San Juan, PANAta Chairperson, “Last year we introduced major awards wherein we give recognition also to those who help PANA in terms of execution through partnerships. We have the Creative Agency of the year, the Agency of the Year, the Media Network of the Year, among others.”

Chrissy Roa, PANA Vice-president, adds, “There’s space for everyone to be able to shine and really come off someone worthy of being recognised. We wanted to empower the young generation and we created the Rookie Award. There’s diversity and inclusivity in the categories so everyone is represented.

The PANAta Awards is also open to entries from small and medium (size) enterprises, and even brands from the provinces.

Some landmarks in the PANAta Awards include the year 2018 launched the Brand Builder and the People’s Choice Awards, at the same time the trophy was redesigned to be more iconic.

In 2020, despite the lockdown, PANAta Awards remained the only award-giving body to continue albeit via a virtual event, introducing the Gawad Pandayon categories to honor brands that demonstrated resilience and made a positive difference during difficult times.

In 2021, Mariel Chavez of Procter & Gamble Philippines made history as the pioneer recipient of the Brand Builder of the Year Award, showcasing the power of impactful campaigns to drive meaningful change.

In 2023, PANAta’s first branded World Federation of Advertisers’ Global Marketer of the Year Awards was bagged by Chrissy Roa of Ayala Land.
