Tarlac City, Philippines — Tarlac State University (TSU) held its 35th Commencement Exercise-Baccalaureate Service on 19 September 2024 at the TSU Gymnasium, marking the culmination of years of dedication, hard work, and academic excellence for the graduating class.
The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jason Aguilar, whose spiritual guidance and blessings created a serene atmosphere for the graduates and their families. Ms. Apple Esplana-Manansala, a distinguished guest of honor and speaker, graced the occasion with her inspiring speech, sharing her own personal and professional experiences, and offering valuable insights and encouragement to the graduates as they embark on the new chapter of their lives.
The Baccalaureate Mass was a spiritual highlight of the graduation ceremonies, providing an opportunity for the graduates to reflect on their academic journey and receive blessings and guidance for their future paths. As the 35th Commencement Exercise-Baccalaureate Service came to a close, the graduates were filled with joy, gratitude, and anticipation for the bright futures ahead.
Key message to Manansala’s speech was when she said she wanted to make an impact on the lives of the graduates. She emphasized how “graduating is a privilege” and that graduates should use their education to make a positive difference. As a former TSU student herself, she reflect on the challenges and gave practical advice for the graduates, encouraging them to “GET READY” by knowing their goals, “GRAB the opportunities”, “write with GRACE”, “exercise GRIT”, and strive for “GROWTH” through continuous learning and self-reflection.
As the class of 2024 moves forward, they do so with the knowledge that they are not only equipped with the skills and education needed for success but are also empowered by the values instilled in them during their time at Tarlac State University.
