The New Channel supports JCI Manila’s Train to Employ project: “Mix it Up!” that is geared towards training single mothers to become bartenders and get them employed after getting their certification. JCI Manila targets single mothers lto help them create a career path in bartending since there has been a recent demand for female bartenders especially in the BGC and Makati area so that they would have a stable source of income to provide for the needs of their children and possibly give them a chance to have a better life in the future.
The criteria for the possible beneficiaries of this project are the following:
1. Single Mother
2. 20 to 35 years of age
3. Lives in Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasay or Taguig (proximity to the bars so that it will be more convenient for them to go to work)
4. Willing to work at night (usually work hours is 5pm to 2am)
5. Educational background is not important (but having a college degree is a plus)
6. Fluent in english is a bonus and can greatly increase probability of being hired
7. No criminal record since if they are not able to get NBI clearance then getting employed will be very difficult
8. Physically fit to work (no medical conditions that may affect working)
