The Kalinangan Youth Foundation (KALFI) marked its 4oth year with a celebration entitled “HANDOG 2023”. During the afternoon gathering, all those who have been with KALFI like it’s donors, sponsors, volunteers, beneficiaries and institutional partners had plenty of opportunities to connect and fondly recall the various activities and programs of KALFI. What started out as a youth club forty years ago has transformed into a foundation that manages several centers which are the forerunners in promoting meaningful programs that aim to empower young women.
KALFI aims to bring out the best in the youth by: tapping their creative potentials; inflaming them with passion for serious work and true knowledge; awakening their love for genuine freedom; and instilling in them a sense of responsibility translated into a lively spirit of service.
“Handog 2023” celebrated KALFI’s 40 years with an afternoon of Kumustahan, Kwarenta-han and Kuwentuhan. The afternoon gathering showcased the core programs of KALFI, LEAD, SERV and UNIV. These programs aim to develop young women in many aspects such as character formation, social responsibility, civic mindedness and spiritual growth. The celebration was held last 26 November 2023, Sunday at 3:30PM at the Bel Air Phoenix and Gemini Function Rooms, 40 Solar St. Bel-air village, Makati.
