StopAndSalute Flag Raising Ceremony Women’s Month

This National Women’s Month, let us celebrate the grace and strength of the Filipina spirit. Join us for the Stop and Salute Flag Raising Ceremony on March 3, 2025 (Monday), 8:00 AM at the Independence Flagpole, Rizal Park, Luneta. 🇵🇭

Our announcement poster features a painting by Filipino artist Philipp Ines, depicting Marcela Mariño Agoncillo, her daughter Lorenza, and Delfina Herbosa Natividad—the three remarkable women who sewed the first official flag of the Republic of the Philippines, weaving into it the hopes, struggles, and triumphs of our nation. Today, we honor Filipinas who continue to shape and nurture our country.

The #StopAndSalute Flag Raising Ceremony is a joint initiative of the Salute To A Clean Flag Movement and the National Parks Development Committee with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

This March, the ceremony will be co-presented by the Philippine Women’s Economic Network – Philwen and The New Channel, champions of women’s empowerment and leadership.
This event is free and open to the public.
