Day 2 | Philippine Startup Week 2024
Taguig City, Philippines – The second day of Philippine Startup Week 2024, held on November 12th at The Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in McKinley Hills delved into the theme “Pivotal: Rise of Sea Tech” which featured a diverse range of speakers and topics that explored the latest trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Southeast Asian tech ecosystem.
The day kicked off with a series of insightful talks and panel discussions covering a wide range of topics that explored various aspects of the tech industry. Speakers delved into topics such as launching successful startups, innovating product experiences, navigating the latest trends in the SEA e-economy, as well as discussion on the future of products and how AI will shape the industry.
The afternoon session continued with thought-provoking discussions on evolving workforces in the era of industry 4.0, resilient founders in navigating the challenges of post-ZIRP environment, and redefining content strategies, and the role of youth in powering tech transformation in Southeast Asia.
President and Chief Executive Producer of The New Channel, Apple-Esplana Manansala, joined a distinguished panel of experts, including the Co-Founder of In Circle, Enah Igual, and the Founder & CEO of Agenix, Clarry Herrera, in a panel discussion titled “Reimagining Content: The Future of Marketing” to discuss how startups can effectively leverage content marketing to connect with their target audience, emphasizing the importance of authenticity, consistency, and innovation in creating content that resonates with modern consumers. Her contribution to the panel discussion underscored The New Channel’s commitment to supporting Filipino startups and promoting innovative media solutions that prioritize quality, engagement, and impact.
The day culminated with a startup showcase, where promising startups from the Ideaspace Cohort 12 Demo Day pitched their innovative ideas to a panel of judges and the audience, providing a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their unique ideas, gain exposure, and secure potential investments, and a fireside chat that explores the role of venture capital in scaling Philippine startups.
